“Life is not a problem to be solved, it is a mystery to be lived” – Osho

What a mind-blasting reminder that is, “life is not a problem.” So many of our personal shortcomings, issues and anxieties stem from just such a mindset, living life as if it’s a problem to be solved. Over the centuries, we’ve questioned and tinkered with what life is and what it “means” so much that we’ve condemned ourselves to a poisonous abyss of paradigms expectations and momentum.

Overcoming that conditioning isn’t about running off into the woods and becoming a Luddite. We can’t just climb out of the proverbial pandora’s box of knowledge, stimulation, passion and competition we’ve been immersed in cold turkey. But there’s a beautifully simple escape sitting right behind the eyeballs you’re using to stare at this screen.

As Buddha says, “a meditator loses all of his questions.” Which is great news, because that means all you have to do is sit down and watch your breath for a little while each day (far simpler than escaping to the woods). A regular routine of inner-work will afford you the opportunity to confront your mental garbage each day little by little so you don’t have to deal with it when it becomes a disgusting, rat-infested bum-filled garage you can no longer ignore. Not only that, but meditation is scientifically proven to improve your life in numerous ways. It’s truly something every human being on the planet should be doing.

Nicolas Gregoriades, aka Nic Gabriel does it. He also co-hosts The Journey Podcast. Nic is a highly accomplished, competitive Jiu-Jitsu blackbelt and the founder of the Jiu-Jitsu Brotherhood. Gregoriades has also embarked upon many inner and outer journeys of self-discovery via Ayahuasca. As if that weren’t enough, he’s involved in a health and wellness startup.

Despite all that, Nic is a man who wears his heart on his sleeve. He’s quite transparent, honest and was brave enough to get rather personal in this conversation. So, don’t be shy, click those links and show him some love!
